My Stampin' Club Booty

YEAH, I can't wait to play!!! I have some masculine colors, because of my boys. I'm gonna make an anniversary card for my husband of 9 years, which we will celebrate tomorrow! So come back tomorrow! Hopefully, I'll have time to blog it! I'm excited about the card because in this booty I have the designer paper "urban garden" with some manly paper in it. The colors I've chosen are Not Quite Navy, Kiwi Kiss and Gray. I hope it turns out good!

A card for Peggy...

Clyde and I made this card for his previous foster mom...it was when we first got him. So about a year ago. I was somewhat fresh to the card making scene, or at least I think so.

Hello peeps!

But hey, you have to start somewhere! So let it encourage any of you new beginners...we are like fine wines in the world of card making...you just get better with age!

Sandra's Personalized Cards

I made these for my spiritual mom and I have to say, I think they are my favorite! But that's because I love toile (spelling?)! I ran out of paper so she only got 7. Oh and I messed one up royally or she would have 8. I had to move the G and the ribbon around so the pretty scenery wouldn't get covered. That kind of bummed me because I like things uniform, but I'm over it... and over all am satisfied with the results!

I couldn't decide which one of these I liked better, so I gave her 3 of the above and 2 of the one below...I think I like the one below better. What do you think?

Happy Belated Birthday to ME!

My "spiritual mom" got me this gift for my birthday that was in July, even though she has had it since March! Isn't that funny? She just moved from North Carolina to Tennessee, so I understand she's got a lot going on. Also, her birthday was in September, the big 40 and I just got her something today. So that's how we roll! Get each other gifts way after the birthday, that way you have something to look forward to after your birthday. The gift is interesting...I've never seen anything like it. Have any of you? Whoop, there it is...there are tea lights in the cone things.

Final project!

It was my month to host Stamp Club, so I made Pumpkin Cookies, in celebration of Fall! We used that recipe for this card!

2nd Project...

I love how Lori is using the tiniest pieces of paper to act as a tie on! It was fun coloring this too! Especially since the stamped image was embossed so you couldn't go out of the lines! Tee Hee!

First of Three projects...

First of all these projects are from our monthly Stampin' Club. Lori did a fabulous job! I did this card a little differently than Lori, because I did it at home. I used the opposite side of the designer paper than Lori which presented a problem. I had stamped "thankful thoughts" on Very Vanilla which clashed with the designer white, soooo...I wrote in versa marker "thankful thoughts" and embossed it in white. I love how she did the curly vines on the pumpkins, too! She's so creative!

Another little Thank You...

Christmas is around the corner!

Hey, this actually isn't a 3x3! Tee Hee! And yeah, I used Lori's idea for the ribbon pumpkin stems to make these "ornaments". It made all the difference!

Peek-a-boo Penguin

Another 3x3 Christmas card! They are just sooo fun to do! I used an idea from By Lori Design adding white to the dry embossing. Thanks Lori! I used clear embossing over the colored parts of the penguin and TADA! I used dimensionals between the red and green.

Christmas Card

This is a 3x3
Stamp sets: Punch Pals and Fun and Fast notes
Technique: Heat embossing with irridescent ice, white and clear. Oh and dimensionals!
A tip I learned from Lori with By Lori Designs regarding the embossing powder: If you have excess powder outside the things you versa mark, take a paintbrush to get it off! Worked like a charm!
