Happy Birthday Mary Jane....

Happy Birthday Mary Jane!!!!! I love you!!!

I am gonna make you a card and a scarf, with a few little surprises! I actually made that very colorful scarf for you, however, I don't think it is really you...so, I am gonna try again, being more simplistic...here is a sneak peek of the colors...

I hope it turns out right! I promise to also come to your house very soon and make you French Dip sandwiches and we could watch Gone with the Wind! Or you and your hubby can have that so long needed break and stay away for a night! But you better put in some quality time with me too! Clyde wants to come to, so we may have to plan it over Spring Break...just remember, good things come to those that wait! Love you much girl!!!

It feels like forever...

since I've posted! I am sorry it's been awhile...it seems like all I post are cards and scarves...since I haven't made much of either lately there's been nothing to post. I am in a time of transition right now! My last day of work is the 15th of March! Yeah!!!! So soon after that, I am sure I will be posting like crazy, but then again maybe not! I have no idea what will consume my days when I become a stay at home mom. I mean, I have some idea... I just might go crazy cleaning my house! Seeing all the neglected spots which were unseen to these tired eyes! My hopes and expectations are realistic, I think! I'm sure all you veteran moms out there are probably laughing at me, tee hee! It honestly won't be that bad for me, because I have 1 kid and he goes to school, but I do want another foster child or maybe my own (God willing) or both! I just felt this was the direction God was leading our family and I am scared, terrified and excited! I wrote in a previous post that God was telling me to let go and lose control and this was the big part of it! I relied on my own ability to earn money, instead of relying on Him! So here goes...I am jumping off and letting Him catch me and lead me! Go Big Jesus! "For those that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall run and not grow weary, they shall walk and will not faint!" Isaiah 40:31

The Pink Elephant Challenge #2

Stamps: SU! Sincere Salutations and Pretty Peony
Colors: Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss and More Mustard
Tools: Top Note Die, Cuttlebug folder (not sure of the name), Tom Bow Glue, Heating tool
Accessories: Hodgepodge hardware, Pearl Brad, glitter and Designer paper

I had a lot of fun making this card, although I am covered in glitter and it took longer than expected...however, I am happy with the result. It probably would have made a good Mother's day card, had I not put the other salutation up there.

Stuff...

Or should I say...scarves! I made these two scarves for friends. I also made a baby blue one for a friend that turned out pretty, but I forgot to take a picture! Oops! The scarf of many colors turned out to be a little more colorful than I intended. I was going to make it just green and pink, but like Clyde's scarf, I forgot I needed two of the same color to make it look good and full. So I used a fuzzy yarn that had many colors in it and it drowned out the pretty pink and green. The scarf on the right is for my friend Lori, and I used black yarn with charcoal eyelash yarn. I love, love, love the eyelash yarn! It feels sooo good! Needless to say, I love the Nifty Knitter! So far I have made 6 scarves. My sis-in-law is going to a craft show and she's going to let me throw some scarves in with their stuff! Who knows I may be able to make a little money, doing something I love!

Wow! We have had Clyde for 1 year and 4 months...who would have thought! We have had some challenges with our foster son, but there has been more ups than downs. GGGOOOOOOO.....

I have to admit....I am not a football fan except for once a year, Super Bowl Sunday! But I am a typical woman right? The best part of the Super Bowl are the commercials to see and junk food to eat! Speaking of...I need to go make some Guacamole! Hope everyone has a great Super Bowl Sunday!
